If there’s one coach who can light up the mats with energy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping young athletes grow, it’s Wayne “The Wolverine” Hulme.
Wayne first joined CIT as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student. What began as an interest quickly grew into a deep commitment — not just to learning the sport, but to mastering it. Over time, Wayne became a standout member of the team, known for his work ethic, his willingness to learn, and his ability to connect with people. It wasn’t long before his natural leadership and quiet determination caught the attention of the coaching staff.
Today, Wayne leads our Kids MMA and Kids Jiu-Jitsu programmes, where he has become one of the most valued and beloved coaches at CIT. His approach is a blend of structure, encouragement, and fun — helping kids develop discipline, confidence, coordination, and respect, all while keeping the environment engaging and exciting. Parents trust him. Kids admire him. Teammates rely on him.
Wayne understands exactly what it feels like to start from the beginning, and that perspective allows him to support and guide our young athletes through their own journeys. For many of our kids, Wayne is more than a coach — he’s someone who notices their progress, celebrates their effort, and pushes them to believe in themselves.
From student, to team member, to coach — Wayne embodies the growth that happens at CIT.
We’re proud to have him shaping the next generation of martial artists.
