Few journeys represent the spirit of CIT Performance Institute better than Tyrone Lamprecht’s.
Tyrone walked into CIT years ago as a complete beginner, joining our Level 1 MMA programme with nothing but curiosity and determination. He wasn’t a prodigy — he was a student. One session at a time, he committed to learning, improving, and pushing himself beyond his limits. Over time, that work paid off. Tyrone developed his skills, moved through the levels, and eventually earned his place on the competition circuit, now fighting professionally under Versus MMA.
But what makes Tyrone truly exceptional is not just what he achieved — it’s how he shows up for others.
Today, Tyrone has come full circle as a Level 1 MMA coach at CIT. The same programme that shaped him into a fighter is now the one he is helping lead. He works closely with new amateur athletes, sharing what he has learned, giving them the confidence to start their own journey, and helping them develop the fundamentals that once changed his life.
His coaching is more than instruction — it’s mentorship. He knows exactly what it feels like to be at the beginning, unsure and overwhelmed, because he’s been there. That empathy makes him a powerful coach and an anchor for our new members.
Tyrone is proof of what CIT stands for, we don’t just train fighters.
We build them —
and then they help build the next generation.
From student, to fighter, to coach, Tyrone embodies what’s possible when you commit, stay consistent, and trust the process.
